Location & Access

Investing in the Kortrijk region means you are very close to three of Europe’s major cities: London, Paris and Brussels. Each is a mere hour and a half away, which is a double bonus: you are close enough to be on top of everything and yet far enough to enjoy the advantages of an out-of-town location.

Evolis business park is situated along the E17 international motorway, linking the Kortrijk region to Ghent and Antwerp to the north and Lille and Paris to the south. Travel times by car to Paris and London are two to two and a half hours, one hour to Brussels and three to Amsterdam. Traffic in the well-connected region is fluid.

Kortrijk station is a mere 4 kilometers from Evolis, with direct connections to Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges and Lille. The region has a container rail terminal 8 kilometers from Evolis.

The Kortrijk region has its own airport, known as Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport. The airport, just 8 kilometers from Evolis, is primarily used by business passengers and for air cargo. Other international airports within a 60 mile radius are Brussels (Brussels Airport), Lille (Aéroport de Lille) and Ostend (Ostend-Bruges International Airport).

The river Leie crosses Kortrijk and the region as a link in the new Seine-Nord Europe Canal. The new canal makes it possible for larger inland waterway vessels to ship heavy cargoes between the Seine basin (Paris region) and the ports of Dunkirk, Antwerp and Rotterdam. The region has an inland container terminal, AVCT-containerterminal Avelgem, 13 kilometers from Evolis.
